We left Tennessee a week ago making our way to Abilene, Texas where we visited with some friends and family. My husband and I were stationed there, at Dyess AFB, from 1994-2001. My son and grandkids came down from Altus, Oklahoma.
We had a great time, I wish we lived closer so I could see them more often.
We then made our way down to Tombstone, Arizona to visit another friend, Jon Knepper. He is a stagecoach driver and horse handler and loves it.
We then picked up Diana, trail name Amelia, who was visiting a friend in Tucson and made our way to Casa Grande, Arizona for the night. We met up with Jon, trail name Farmer, and his dad Tom and friend Becky for dinner. Tom and Becky gave us some trail support when Jon and I did the Arizona Trail in 2017.
Jon joined up with us this morning and we made our way to Lake Morena, California, just above our starting point. We are all settled in for a good nights rest, dreaming of our start on the Pacific Crest Trail tomorrow.
Good luck! Tim and I will be following you.
Will be watching you as you travel, good luck, stay up right! I'll be in Washington PCT Aug!
